MYOB Acumatica — Workforce Management 24.11, December 2024

MYOB Acumatica — Workforce Management 24.11 features some big improvements to leave management, quicker and more flexible onboarding with draft employees and a wide range of improvements to the user interface across the system.

What's new?

Enhanced leave approval workflow

We’ve made some massive improvements to the way you handle leave, which should save managers plenty of time:

  • Automatic approvals: Simple leave requests can now be approved automatically.

  • Bulk actions: Managers can now approve or deny multiple leave requests at once.

  • Exception handling: Any leave requests with alerts will be excluded from automatic or bulk approvals, and be flagged for the manager to action individually.

Other leave changes

  • We’ve updated the leave views for managers and employees so that the terminology, layout and default date range is consistent. Employees can now see their Accrued, Used and Remaining leave.

  • Start and end times are now available to employees making leave requests for days following overnight shifts (for example a leave request for a Saturday when the employee worked a shift that started Friday and ended on the same Saturday).

Quicker, more flexible onboarding with draft employees

To get onboarding started quicker, you can now create draft employee profiles. Just enter their name, skip all the details, and then come back later to finish it off and send their onboarding invitation.

As well as making data entry more flexible, draft employees also give you a way of viewing prospects separately from your other employees. You can even send them their contract to be signed before finalising and sending their onboarding form.

To create a draft employee, go to Employees and click the new Add Draft Employee button.

Onboarding quality-of-life improvements

We’ve made some smaller changes to onboarding to make the process even smoother.

  • We’ve added a pop-up alert to the employee onboarding form so that you know what’s happening when you click out of the form.

  • We’ve removed the Resend Onboarding and Re-use previous payroll buttons from non-payrolled employees, as they only apply to payrolled employees.

  • The date fields in the onboarding forms now consistently apply the Australian DD/MM/YYYY format.

Other changes

  • Deleting an employee now automatically sends you back to the Employees screen.

  • The Documents screen now looks better in narrow browser windows.

  • We’ve made the text on bulk timesheet actions clearer, so that it’s easier to understand what status they will change to.
