Known issue: General Inquiry screen disappeared and generic inquiry dashboards aren't working (build 2021.1)

After upgrading a site to MYOB Advanced Business version 2021.1, you might come across these two issues with generic inquiries:

  • The Generic Inquiry screen might disappear from MYOB Advanced.
  • Generic inquiry dashboards might not work.

There's a different procedure to fix each of the two issues.

Restoring the Generic Inquiry screen

You need to assign a new screen ID to the Sms Usage page.

  1. In MYOB Advanced Business, go to the Site Map page.
  2. In the search bar on the top right of the page, enter GI000085.
  3. In Sms Usage row, enter MY.SM.10.11 in the Screen ID field.
  4. Repeat this procedure for each tenant on the site.

Fixing a DL dashboard

  1. Open the Dashboard Designer.
  2. For the affected dashboard, click the edit icon.
  3. In the Widget Properties window, enter Generic Inquiry in the Inquiry Screen field.
