Restoring Snapshot Data in MYOB Acumatica
This article provides a step-by-step guide to restoring snapshot data in MYOB Acumatica, including common issues and troubleshooting tips.
Before You Start
Before restoring a snapshot, make sure you’ve completed the following checks:
Version Compatibility: The target site version must match the snapshot version. Mismatched versions can cause import or restore failures.
User access: You’ll need a user account with sufficient rights to manage snapshots and tenant operations. Refer to Giving a User Access to Restore a Snapshot in MYOB Acumatica
Tenant selection: If you plan to overwrite an existing tenant, log in to a different tenant before starting the restore to prevent the UI from freezing.
Step 1: Obtain the Snapshot File
Download the required snapshot file from the Partner Self-Service (PSS) portal.
Save the file to a secure location for import.
Step 2: Import the Snapshot to the Site
Go to the Tenants screen (SM203520).
Click Import Snapshot.
Select and upload the snapshot file (.zip or .xml format).
Wait for the import process to complete.
Step 3: Restore the Snapshot to a Tenant
On the Tenants screen (SM203520), select the tenant you want to overwrite.
Click Restore Snapshot.
When prompted, confirm the restore by typing RESTORE.
Accept any warnings and proceed.
Stay logged in to a different tenant until the process finishes.
Step 4: Post-Restore Checks
After the restore completes:
· Verify that you can log in to the restored tenant.
· Confirm the restore ran successfully and affected the correct tenant.
· If the snapshot came from a different site or URL and includes files, file references may still point to the original sites S3 storage. This can prevent document access. Check that documents and attachments are accessible.
o If files are missing, please raise a ticket to your relevant support team. They’ll need to contact the Platform team to request file relocation or S3 link migration.
